Every published version, newest first.

3.13.1 31 Oct 2026

Fixed

  • «Withdraw» now also takes back a transferred billing when the Bexio document is cancelled rather than deleted — Bexio does not allow deleting an issued document at all, so the previous check could never be met.
  • An invoice cancelled in Bexio is picked up during the sync and counts as cancelled here too, instead of still being listed as sent.

3.13.0 30 Oct 2026

Changed

  • An invoice's lines are now ordered by date — the way the work was done, and that is exactly how they reach Bexio; your customer can follow what happened when.
  • Until now the order came from the records: first everything from one person, then everything from the next, jumbled within each.
  • Attached products have no date and sit at the end of the invoice; existing invoices get their dates filled in during the update and sort correctly too.

3.12.0 30 Oct 2026

Added

  • An invoice already sent to Bexio can be withdrawn once you have deleted the document there — its time entries, products and subscription periods are then open again and can be billed afresh.
  • Before anything happens, the module asks Bexio whether the document is really gone: if it is still there — cancelled counts as still there — or if Bexio does not answer, nothing changes.

Changed

  • Cancelling never freed a subscription period, because it only counts as open again once the invoice is gone entirely; that is what the new action is for.

3.11.0 30 Oct 2026

Added

  • Several open invoices for the same customer can now be merged into one — every open invoice lists the others, and their lines move across together with their time entries and products.
  • The new command "php artisan lainvoicing:summen-nachrechnen" checks existing invoices against their lines and corrects wrong totals; invoices already sent to Bexio are left untouched.

Fixed

  • Attached products were missing from an invoice's totals: the line was on the document, but subtotal and total left it out — every invoice created with "Bill whole task" that contained products was affected, and a task without time entries showed 0.00 throughout.
  • Please recalculate your existing invoices with the new command after updating — the wrong totals are still stored in the database.

3.10.0 27 Oct 2026

Added

  • Working-time reports with your own letterhead: logo, company name, address and accent colour under «Manage → Activities → Reports».
  • Every report now opens with a summary: over-/undertime, working time, working days, absence days per type and public holidays. With the HR module, holiday balance and weekly hours join them.
  • Week and month reports state the year-to-date balance beneath their own.
  • Two signature lines on the printout — they stay off the screen.

Changed

  • Every figure carries its unit: in the table in the column header («hrs:min»), on the tiles next to the value. «08:12» is eight hours and twelve minutes, not 8.12 hours.
  • Each report fits on one A4 page, signatures included — the month with its thirty-one rows as well.
  • In the year report each month is a row instead of a box.

Fixed

  • A paid public holiday earned a full day of overtime — around 75 hours per person per year. An absence now fills the day's target at most. Please review your staff balances after the update.
  • The target-hours column showed the whole month while the balance counted only up to today, so the rows did not add up.
  • Print preview produced a blank sheet whenever FreeScout had a dialog open.
  • The table stopped short of the right page margin instead of reaching it.
  • A month report from a past year showed the current year's holiday balance.

3.9.1 26 Oct 2026

Changed

  • A file's preview is now created in the background right after the upload. Before, it was built when someone opened the page — and whoever got there first waited for it: a 17 MB PDF takes close to four seconds.
  • While an image is still on its way, the tile shows the file's abbreviation. The image covers it once it arrives. Before, the tile stayed empty during that time.

Fixed

  • When something other than the image came back — the sign-in page after an expired session, for instance — the tile stayed empty instead of showing the abbreviation.

3.9.0 25 Oct 2026

Added

  • The timeline can be printed. Before printing you pick the section — a date range, everything from a milestone onwards, or a range of the name column — plus the scale, the paper size and what the bars are coloured by.
  • For black and white printers there are patterns instead of colour fills. Five of them can be told apart.
  • Files appear either as a list or as tiles with previews. For a PDF the first page is shown; anything that cannot be pictured shows its abbreviation.
  • The same display is now available for a task's attachments. The drop area sits fixed in the bar there and does not move when a file is added.

Changed

  • The timeline's help text now sits behind the info icon instead of taking up space permanently.
  • Your choice between list and tiles stays in your browser and applies on the project as well as on the task.

Fixed

  • The print preview's bar lines up with the sheet, not with the edge of the window.

3.8.0 25 Oct 2026

Added

  • The workload view now knows your appointments too: what is in the calendar counts as «committed time» next to the planned project hours. A week full of meetings finally reads as a full week. Requires LaCalendar.
  • A weeks / days switch in the workload view. The week answers «who is overloaded», the day answers «what is causing it» — a week at 98 % can hold four quiet days and one impossible one.
  • The workload view can be narrowed to a single project. Exactly the question behind a rule like «nobody more than 70 % on this project».
  • New field «Done by» on a task: by an agent, by a human, or both together. In the list, on the task, as a colour choice in the timeline — and finally countable, so you can see how many hours go to whom.
  • Milestones can sit underneath another milestone. That gives you the level between phase and task that until now had to be faked in the title.
  • Five new columns in the task list: start, milestone, labels, category and «Done by». Until now a task's start was only visible in the timeline.
  • The timeline's date header stays put while you scroll. With eighty rows you used to see bars without knowing which month they were in.
  • Your AI agent can now build a whole project plan: hours, milestone, labels, category and «Done by» on a task, plus creating and reading milestones and setting dependencies.

Changed

  • The timeline picks its scale from the length of the plan: a week shows days, a year shows months. Your own choice then stays.
  • Without a number of its own, a milestone shows the sum of its tasks, marked with Σ. If a number has been set and differs from that sum, both are shown — either the intention is out of date or the plan is incomplete.
  • Below the workload view it now says how many open tasks cannot appear in any column because they lack hours or dates. An empty column otherwise does not tell you whether nothing is there or something is missing.
  • The workload legend shows the shape of a cell and the two colour steps, instead of only naming the terms.

Fixed

  • Planned hours landed on days the assigned person does not work. Someone who works Monday to Thursday no longer gets anything on Friday — and a week that looked overloaded often is not.
  • Completing a task erased its planned hours from past weeks retroactively. A look back that changes while you look at it is not one.
  • The workload colouring was practically always silent, because it needs capacity and load at the same time. With calendar time counted it shows something again.

3.7.2 24 Oct 2026

Added

  • Above the timeline you choose what colours the bars: status, label, category or milestone. A legend says what each colour means.
  • Every milestone gets its own colour — random when created, changeable by hand at any time. The section heading on the tasks tab carries the same colour.
  • The milestone line shows the time consumed within it as a darker fill, so one glance tells you whether the time fits the period.
  • Dependencies are created with the mouse: grab the dot behind a bar and drag it onto another one.
  • Milestones can now be moved and extended on the timeline — dragging the line moves both dates, the right edge changes only the end.
  • Milestones can also be connected: to tasks, to other milestones, in both directions.

Changed

  • A milestone's tasks now sit directly beneath it and indented, instead of spread across the whole chart by date.
  • The milestone line is clearly thinner than a task bar — a milestone is not an activity but a bracket around several.

Fixed

  • With tasks running almost in parallel, the dependency arrow crossed a bar; it now runs through the gap between two rows.
  • A moved milestone could shift its start and end by different amounts, because a second drag began unnoticed after release.
  • A dependency arrow passing over a connector dot made it impossible to grab — in exactly those rows that already had a dependency.
  • While a milestone was being moved, the diamond marking its date stayed put while the line moved.

3.7.1 24 Oct 2026

Added

  • Changes to a task are saved as you make them — no Save button, and the task no longer closes on you.
  • Columns can be rearranged by dragging, and the order is part of a saved view.
  • Dates can be created right in the timeline: drag across an empty row, or click for a single day.
  • Milestones can be edited afterwards, reordered and collapsed.
  • Attachments on a task are added by dropping files in, like on a project's files page.
  • A recorded expense can be deleted from its dialog.

Changed

  • Tasks inside milestones look like the normal task list, column picker included — and your columns apply on both pages.
  • "Close" at the top closes the window; the button at the bottom is now "Complete task".
  • A breadcrumb above the title leads back to the project and names it.
  • The timeline shows every task: with one date as a single-day bar, with no date as an empty row to drag into.
  • "Definition of done" sits behind an icon and appears as soon as it has content.
  • The hours summary sits with the tasks instead of in the project overview.
  • The separate expenses page is gone — it all happens in the dialog on the task.

Fixed

  • A reminder could not be saved at all.
  • A second, small dot appeared next to a task's colour dot.
  • In the project header the trash can came before instead of after the action, and on the timeline the header was indented differently from the other tabs.

3.7.0 24 Oct 2026

Added

  • Milestones are now sections that hold your tasks: with a start, an end and a time budget that every task inside draws from.
  • Subtasks, labels and files right on a task.
  • Templates for recurring tasks that schedule themselves again once done.
  • A timeline shows tasks and milestones across the weeks, including the dependencies between them.
  • The workload view shows per person and week how much is planned and how much time is available.
  • Saved views, a "Today" filter and keyboard shortcuts in the task list.
  • A warning as soon as a budget runs low.
  • Tasks can be dragged into a milestone and reordered, and so can milestones.
  • The AI agent can ask a question, propose subtasks and record when a task counts as done.

Changed

  • A project's "Tasks" tab shows the work in sections instead of one long table.
  • "Planned hours" and "Budget" were the same number twice and are now one.
  • Explanations no longer sit below the fields but behind a question mark next to them.

3.6.1 24 Oct 2026

Changed

  • On a task, "Log Time" opens the familiar form in a window instead of leaving the page.

Fixed

  • The time window was too tall, cut off at the bottom, or visibly off-colour

3.6.0 22 Oct 2026

Added

  • Under Manage → Activities → Time tracking there is a new setting “Bill agent time by default”. It applies to tickets, to tasks without a project and to projects without a setting of their own. It is off by default.

Changed

  • On a project, “Bill agent time” now offers “As default”, Yes or No. Existing projects set to No follow the default after the update; as long as it is off, nothing changes.
  • Agent time on tickets and on tasks without a project is billed when the default is on. So far it was only logged there.

3.5.1 21 Oct 2026

Changed

  • The box on a task now holds the familiar time-entry form itself — all its fields, icons and the start-tracking button.

3.5.0 20 Oct 2026

Changed

  • On a task, "Log Time" now opens a window instead of leaving the page. Product and customer come pre-filled

3.4.3 20 Oct 2026

Changed

  • An expense description is now a multi-line field, and the history wraps the text.

Fixed

  • An expense’s own text never reached the invoice — the product name appeared instead.

3.4.2 20 Oct 2026

Fixed

  • The "Log Expense" window sat behind the backdrop and was only visible through the blue overlay.

3.4.1 20 Oct 2026

Fixed

  • The "Log Expense" window did not open

3.4.0 20 Oct 2026

Added

  • You now record expenses right on the task — with a button at the bottom next to “Create Comment” and “Log Time”. They show up in the history and have their own tab there.
  • An expense can be edited and carries its own text and price. One catch-all product is enough — no more separate Bexio product for every kind of expense.
  • Agent time (from 3.3.0): the measured run time of an AI agent can be billed as its own line. Off by default

3.2.2 19 Oct 2026

Fixed

  • On the invoice page the cards on the right (company, totals, Bexio invoice) have their inner spacing again; the text stuck to the edge. Label and value no longer run into each other in narrow windows.

3.2.1 19 Oct 2026

Fixed

  • Sent and paid invoices display correctly again. Since the Bexio document was added to the page, their content slipped below the footer and only number and status were visible.

3.2.0 19 Oct 2026

Added

  • The AI agent can send an open invoice to Bexio when an admin asks. There is a separate permission “Send invoices to Bexio”, and by default every transfer waits for your approval, because it creates a real invoice in Bexio.

Changed

  • The “Send to Bexio” button and the agent take the same path. The transfer fetches the tax rates once instead of for every line.

3.1.0 19 Oct 2026

Added

  • The McpConnect AI agent can now prepare invoices when an admin asks: read an invoice with its lines, add unbilled time entries to an invoice that is still open – for example all of a project including its tasks up to a date –, create a new invoice or remove a line again. The same rules apply as in the module: only open invoices, one customer per invoice. The agent never sends anything to Bexio; that stays your click.

Changed

  • The invoice list for the agent now tells “open” (not yet sent to Bexio) apart from “sent” and gives the amount from Bexio once the invoice is there.

3.0.0 19 Oct 2026

Changed

  • Invoicing is now called LaInvoicing internally, so it never clashes with a module from another vendor. Nothing changes for you: name, menus, addresses, settings and data stay as they are. LaStore moves the module together with the others by itself.

2.8.0 17 Oct 2026

Added

  • The Abrechnung page now shows “Paid at” — the payment date, fetched from Bexio.

Fixed

  • “Sent at” and the invoice date in the list now follow your date and time settings in FreeScout instead of a fixed format.

2.7.0 17 Oct 2026

Changed

  • Once an Abrechnung is at Bexio, the summary and the list show the figures from there — including VAT. It is read rather than computed here, so it follows automatically when your tax rate changes.

2.6.1 17 Oct 2026

Fixed

  • The nightly sync now also fetches the Bexio amount for Abrechnungen that are already paid. They used to be skipped, so the customer portal kept showing the locally computed figure.

2.6.0 17 Oct 2026

Added

  • An Abrechnung's status is now kept in sync with Bexio – open or paid. In passing when you open it, and once a night for all open ones.
  • When the amount billed at Bexio differs from the one computed here, it is shown alongside on the Abrechnung page.

2.5.1 17 Oct 2026

Fixed

  • The document preview now shows the full A4 page. It used to be cut off at the bottom, so you had to scroll to see the total.

2.5.0 17 Oct 2026

Added

  • The Abrechnung page now shows the Bexio document right in the window, with a link to open it in a new tab.

Fixed

  • The button for fetching missing Bexio details only appeared when a Belegnummer was missing, not when the due date was. It now counts both.

2.4.0 17 Oct 2026

Fixed

  • An Abrechnung's due date is now read back from Bexio. It used to stay empty even though Bexio knows it.

2.3.0 15 Oct 2026

Added

  • The McpConnect AI agent can now work with time tracking: read time entries – your own, as an admin everyone's – and check a week, for example hours against presence time, missing descriptions or days over 10 hours. On your request it creates and changes time entries and deletes them with an approval. It approves or rejects weekly reports only when an admin asks. The same locks apply as in the form.

2.2.0 15 Oct 2026

Added

  • The McpConnect AI agent can now work with tasks and projects: search and read them including comments and, on your request, create tasks – also from a ticket, with a link to it –, change status, assignee, priority and due date, and comment. Creating, changing and commenting on projects needs an approval by default. Nothing is deleted, and the agent never writes in response to a customer message.

2.1.0 11 Oct 2026

Added

  • If you use McpConnect, your AI agent can tell you how much time is still unbilled and which invoices are open or overdue (only when an administrator asks). On your request it logs time for you on a ticket, with your default hourly rate and the ticket's company.

2.0.0 10 Oct 2026

Changed

  • This module's settings have new internal names. Your stored values are carried over automatically during the update — you need not re-enter or check anything.
  • The module icon now ships as an image file instead of sitting inside the description file. That file becomes about a hundred times smaller, and FreeScout reads it every time it walks the module list.

Fixed

  • If your helpdesk runs in a subdirectory rather than at the root of the domain — yourdomain.com/helpdesk — this module's pages are reachable at all for the first time. Before, every call ended on an error page. At the root nothing changes.

1.45.0 10 Oct 2026

Changed

  • The module's settings now use the names FreeScout expects. Your saved values are carried over automatically during the update — there is nothing to re-enter or check.
  • The module icon now ships as an image file instead of sitting inside the description file. That file becomes much smaller, and FreeScout reads it every time it walks the module list.

Fixed

  • If your helpdesk runs in a subdirectory rather than at the root of the domain — yourdomain.com/helpdesk — this module's pages are reachable at all for the first time. Before, every call ended on an error page. At the root nothing changes.

1.44.5 7 Oct 2026

Changed

  • Non-billable time appears on the invoice again, but now at CHF 0.00 and without a VAT rate. That way your customer sees the work was done and costs them nothing. This replaces the approach in 1.44.4, which left it out entirely.

1.44.4 7 Oct 2026

Fixed

  • Time entries marked as non-billable were still offered for invoicing and went to Bexio at the full hourly rate. They are now left out.

1.44.3 25 Sep 2026

Changed

  • All time fields read input by the same rule as the entry form: 8:30 as clock time, 8.5 or 8,5 as decimal hours. Unreadable input is marked red.

Fixed

  • Attendance times accept input such as 8, 17 or 8:30. Previously only '08:00' worked, and anything else was silently not saved.

1.44.2 22 Sep 2026

Changed

  • Adapted to HR 1.10.0, whose internal name changed. Update both modules together, otherwise the holiday balance in the time overview and the related notifications will be missing.

1.44.1 21 Sep 2026

Fixed

  • Updates through LaStore landed in the wrong folder and were never loaded. The module name now matches its folder.

1.44.0 20 Sep 2026

Added

  • Finance shows the open and the already billed amount for completed projects and tasks.
  • An invoice line can be deleted directly from its edit form.

Changed

  • Reworked phone view for tasks, projects, time tracking and finance: lists become cards, the main action sits next to the title, toolbars fit on one line.
  • 'Delete' sits apart from 'Send' and 'Cancel' so it is not hit by accident.

Fixed

  • The checkboxes in open time entries were missing on the phone, so nothing could be billed there.
  • Drop-down menus inside cards opened off-screen.

1.42.2 14 Sep 2026

Fixed

  • The store package could not be installed because its folder was misnamed. Republished; the module itself is unchanged.

1.42.1 14 Sep 2026

Fixed

  • Another person's attendance times were not shown; your own appeared instead.

1.42.0 14 Sep 2026

Added

  • Administrators can view a person's attendance times before approving their week.

Fixed

  • 'Overview' on the approval page showed your own week instead of the requested one for open requests.

1.41.2 14 Sep 2026

Changed

  • The description in FreeScout's module list is now in German.

Good to know

Frequent questions

Everything you should know about our modules, licences, updates and support before you buy.

Why does my purchased FreeScout module show an expiry date?

With your purchase you get the module plus twelve months of support, security updates and new features. The expiry date shown refers to those included services — not to your right to use the module at all.

What happens when my licence expires?

The module you have installed keeps working. Once the licence has expired, though, no new security or feature updates arrive and the included support can no longer be used.

You decide for yourself whether to renew the licence or to keep using the installed module without further updates, at your own responsibility.

Others promise lifetime updates. Why don’t you?

Technologies, security requirements and dependencies keep changing. What works reliably today can be outdated or unsupported tomorrow. Good software therefore needs continuous care, testing and development.

Rather than tie you to a permanent subscription, we leave you the choice: renew your licence, or keep using the installed module without further updates, at your own responsibility.

Do I need your LaStore module?

No, but the LaStore module connects your FreeScout instance with the modules you bought, and it brings several advantages:

  • installation with one click
  • automatic detection of available updates
  • easy updating right inside FreeScout
  • verification of the package signature
  • protection against module packages altered or tampered with unnoticed

Our modules do not use the normal update process, because it is not secure. The LaStore module verifies each of our modules before updating. An attacker therefore cannot deliver forged, dangerous updates. Without this module the verification is up to you, and it is a manual process.

Do I really get the complete source code?

Yes. Our modules are provided under the AGPL-3.0 licence. The module as delivered contains the complete source code, which you can inspect and adapt within the terms of that licence.

On how many FreeScout instances may I use the module?

One licence covers one active FreeScout instance. Two free server moves are included on top of that.

If an old server is no longer in use, the system releases its activation automatically after 90 days. An instance that is unreachable or already deleted is therefore not counted against your licence for good.

Can I return a module I bought?

You have a 14-day right of return. It ends as soon as you activate the module — not already when the licence key is delivered to you.

So activate the module only once you have finally decided to use it. For consumers in the EEA, the statutory provisions on the right of withdrawal for digital content apply in addition.

Who issues my invoice?

Payment is handled by Paddle. Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and therefore as the seller. That is why Paddle appears as the issuer of the invoice, and possibly also as the payee on your card or bank statement.

Does a module need other FreeScout modules?

That depends on the product. Some modules work entirely on their own and offer additional features when other modules are present. Others have hard dependencies.

The slot finder, for example, strictly needs the Calendar module, because the available appointments are worked out from the calendars kept there.

Required and optional dependencies are stated on each product page.

What can I do if something doesn’t work?

We test our modules carefully. Even so, a feature may not behave as expected in a particular environment.

Every module comes with a detailed guide. If that does not get you any further, you can open a support ticket. Describe the problem briefly and the steps you have already taken — we are glad to help.

Pay securely, worldwideYour payment is handled securely by Paddle. You can pay from anywhere in the world, comfortably in your own currency — proper invoicing included.
Open, auditable, adaptableThanks to AGPL-3.0 you get the complete source code. You can audit the software, adapt it yourself and keep running it independently.
Two server moves includedYour FreeScout instance is moving? You can transfer your licence to a new server up to twice, free of charge, and keep using the module there.
Install once, stay current by itselfWith our LaStore module for FreeScout you install what you bought with a single click. Available updates are checked and installed automatically.
