About this module

Common questions about this module

Do I need access to the server or the web host?

No. Everything happens in FreeScout, with your administrator account. No FTP, SSH or hosting access is needed.

Who is the module installer for?

For anyone who wants to use modules by other providers without going onto the server every time. It is especially handy when FreeScout is hosted as a service and customers have no server access, and for modules that cannot be updated through FreeScout's normal update.

What happens if a module does not work?

If a new version is faulty, the installer restores the previous one. A new module that does not start stays switched off and does not disturb the rest of FreeScout.

Can I also install modules from the FreeScout directory?

Yes. You then activate them as usual with their licence key under *Manage → Modules*.

And the modules by let’s automate?

You install and update those through LaStore, where every package is additionally checked for its origin.

Does the module stop working after twelve months?

No. Bought is bought: the module keeps running indefinitely. The twelve months cover support, security updates and new features – not use.
